The fake Sharpies are reasonably faithful to the Sanford product, but
there is no circled "R" next to the word "Sharpie" and the name at
the top of the label is the Chinese manufacturer and not Sanford.

As for permanence, a Sharpie mark on plastic is prone to getting
rubbed off. To avoid this problem, use an inside label, but don't
write on the top of the bag. We commonly handle bags by their tops,
which is the worst possible place to put marks. Label your field
bags on the bottoms, where they are not handled, and you will have
fewer rub-off problems.
