The Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory at the J. Patterson Park
and Museum has developed and posted a digital type collection for ceramics
commonly found in Maryland. The Museum is part of the Maryland SHPO.

This web page was prepared by Katherine J. Dinnel, Edward E. Chaney, and
Sara Emmert with funds from the National Center for Preservation Technology
and Training.  Nearly 40 ware types are described in detail with numerous
photographic illustrations and an extensive bibliography.  Plans are
currently underway to expand the number of types included on the Web Page.
