Actually, this question, in part, might apply to any piano recording
related questions. I very much dislike (perhaps because I'm married to
a registered piano technician who dislikes clattery, bright, tinkly-as-glass
tuning/voicing?) recordings in which the piano sounds, well, hard and
clattery and bright and tinkly. *Warm* might be a word to describe what
I prefer in voicing, et al.

With that as a preface, I am interesting in recommended recordings of
the Schumann concerto--preferably not "historical," in the sense of
pre-stereo years--in modern sound, in which the performance is not stodgy
and the piano does not sound like a hammered ice-making machine. Any
suggestions out there? Thanks. The same question might be asked Re:
recordings of the Brahms 1st concerto. Double thanks.
