Here are a few of the new books on archaeology:

Praetzellis, Adrian (a fellow list member and author of Death by Theory).
Dug to Death: A Tale of Archaeological Method and Mayhem (AltaMira Press,
October 2003).

This book has not yet been released, but can be pre-ordered. I highly
recommend this and Adrian's other book as wonderful guides to teaching
archaeology with the information written as mystery novels.

Books for 4th graders:

These books are available on Amazon, but I am giving the URL for the
publisher, since Amazon wants full price, and the publisher has a Web
special. They all have library binding, and are fully illustrated.
