i keep bringing up the occasional (was going to say "odd" but that sounded
somewhat "off") british prof with only a BA to various germans who keep
insisting you can't be an archaeologist without an MA (and you also have to
study latin!), and definitely not a prof without a doctor habilis...
anyway - i never had trouble finding work with just a BA - seems to be
getting harder with an MA, so now i'm not sure if i really want a PhD
bringing up the rear...
