Regarding new CD formats, Don Satz writes:

Being the year of the stereo upgrade, this was an important question
for me.  Surround?  Super Audio?  This collector hereby announces that
he is more than satisfied with the standard format, and so he's leaned
toward the school of audio manufacturers that believes that there's still
a little extra magic to be squeezed out of that little ol' 16 bits.  I
don't think the new technology, even if it's better, will take.
