Commercial beekeepers seem to have a high divorce rate;
perhaps this is part of it. (Long periods away from home might be
a factor too.)
I know one beekeeper wife, who is allergic and deathly afraid of
bees. I suspect the venom dust from washing is the cause of the
problem. I always tried to make sure my kids had at least an
occasional sting because of this, and they did not have any
significant problem.
