Sounds very much like "Following the Bloom" by Douglas Whynott (known to
lurk on BEE-L at times) which DOES name the beekeepers.  I was thrilled to
meet in real life the guys I read about on the book!  Highly recommended!

Aaron Morris - thinking Andy Card, White House Chief of Staff?  Few will get
that one.
