Dr. Steve Carlston MD told us at his presentation at the ABF convention in
Kansas City ( bee stings and venom) a sting in an artery could cause more of
a problem (anaphylaxis) than a sting in other areas of the body.
The same question was asked and he said a sting could easily penetrate the
large veins of the arm on people with pronounced veins.
All I know. I can't remember getting a vein sting.
