The work is "When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd: A Requiem for
Those We Love".  Composed in 1946 on a commission from Robert Shaw, it
was a tribute to FDR and American soldiers killed in World War II.

The most rewarding recording of the work is likely Shaw's on Telarc,
readily available at stores and on the internet.
