The May issue of American Bee Journal mentions this in the article ‘Organic
Treatment IPM for Honey Bee Mites’. The authors write that spraying brood
frames and queen cage with a mist of sugar syrup containing Honey-B-Healthy
allows for direct release. The claim is that bees accept the queen
immediately. They go on to say they’ve had no problems introducing Russian
queens this way.
