THE AMERICAN CHAMBER ENSEMBLE IN CONCERT AT CARNEGIE HALL'S WEILL
RECITAL HALL ON MAY 10

On Saturday, May 10, at 2:00 p.m., the American Chamber Ensemble,
featuring directors Blanche Abram (piano) and Naomi Drucker (clarinet),
will present a diverse program of standard repertoire and contemporary
works at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, 154 West 57th Street in
Manhattan.

The concert, presented by MidAmerica Productions, features the World
Premiere of Leo Kraft's Three Pieces with Two Interludes; Angelo
Musolino's Sextet (Fugal Fantasy); David Diamond's Quintet; Chopin's
Polonaise Brillante, Op. 3; and Dvorak's Quintet in A major, Op. 81.

General admission tickets to the May 10 concert are $35. Tickets may

$15 tickets for students and seniors (with proper ID) are available at

The American Chamber Ensemble also includes violinists Eriko Sato and
Deborah Wong, violists Lois Martin and Veronica Salas, cellists Chris
Finckel and Theodore Mook, and pianist Marilyn Sherman Lehman.

The Musolino and Kraft selections will celebrate the music of these
great American composers as part of the 2003 Festival of Long Island
Composers. ACE will also present music by another great American
composer - David Diamond.

ACE explores the great chamber music literature for clarinet and
piano in combination with strings, woodwinds and voice and presents
performances featuring world-class artists. ACE consists of the finest
freelance musicians in the New York area and has been cited by critics
for their superb presentations of chamber masterworks. Their latest CD
on Elysium - American Clarinet Treasures - features core members of ACE
performing works by George Kleinsinger, Virgil Thomson, Daniel Gregory
Mason, Elliott Carter, Douglas Moore and Gary Schocker, with Guest
Artist Stanley Drucker
