Bryson's latest book 'A Short History of Nearly Everything' has a few
chapters focussing on archaeology and early humans. There isn't anything
significant, of course, but there are a few interesting anecdotes, such
as Robert Broom often conducted fieldwork naked and Eugene Dubois used
convict labor in his excavations.
