Thanks to Cathy for looking up the HABS info for us all. For the record,
a Pacific hut is a wooden version of the Quonset, developed in the
Seattle area for the Corps in order to save on precious iron during the
war. They were extensively used in Alaska, especially the Aleutians.
Does anyone know if they were used in the lower 48 or Pacific as well?
