For those who don't know, Miriam Hyde is the grande dame of Australian
composers. She was still able to perform the solo parts in her piano
concerti as of a few years back; so she's likely to at least make an
appearance as a musician in this concert.

MIRIAM HYDE AT 90 ... LIVE!
A very special concert, broadcast live from the Eugene Goosens
Hall in Sydney. Music by composer Miriam Hyde, who turns ninety
this Wednesday.
Our host Julian Day is joined by some very special performers,
including flautist Christine Draeger, pianist James Muir and
even the composer's daughter! Includes the "Happy Occasion
Overture" arranged for piano four hands, a miscellany of songs
and character pieces such as "Winter Willow" and "Evening Under
the Hill", and the fiery "Piano Sonata in G minor" played by
Geoffrey Tozer.
