Karl Miller responded to my inaccurate recollection of an LP of Cowell
symphonies conducted by Ormandy:

Which is the LP I had in mind, and I regret not buying that one just as
much as the Cowell one I thought it was.  I can only attribute my belief
in the latter's existence to the fact that I hadn't had my first caffeine
hit for the day when I sent the post.
