I was involved in a crime scene investigation last week. We were trying to
locate a body buried two years ago. A cadaver dog was eventually brought
out and indicated a couple of areas of interest which failed to turn up
anything. We are still unsure whether we were testing the right area or
whether the body was located elsewhere. The informant that led law
enforcement to this 1/4 acre area was not as positive as I would have liked.
I should also point out that the officers seemed ambivalent about using the
dog, but at that point were willing to consider anything to help.
