Isn't it wonderful how the English language changes from place to place.
the butterboxes I was referring to are just that - timber boxes built to
take several pounds of butter!
Your response much appreciated though. I assume that tramcars earned that
name because they were built of timber and jammed passengers inside much a s
butter would be pushed into the boxes I enquired about.
