Follow Mount Vernon archaeologists as they excavate
the site of George Washington's 18th-century Whiskey
Distillery. From May through November, the ongoing
excavations of the Distillery site will be featured as
an interactive dig on Archaeology Magazine's website.
The website will feature weekly field reports
chronicling the dig as it happens, maps and photos of
the Distillery foundation and other 18th-century
features related to the distilling process, a
historical documents section that highlights the
primary sources used in interpreting the distillery,
and much more. Check it out at www.archaeology.org.

Thanks, Eleanor
