I heard the BSO do it some years back. I believe the pianist was Ursula
Oppens. When she first came on stage she forgot the gadget for playing
the tone clusters and had to return backstage to retrieve it. Anyway,
the concerto was very well received by the Boston audience.

I too sought out a recording of this work after hearing it live. I found
a performance by Keith Jarrett on New World Records NW 366-2.
BTW, Ray, I grew up in a suburb of Stamford, Connecticut, and attended
college in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I guess that's why they call it
"New" England....
