Another place one might look for 1 gallon jars is the local recycling
center.  I volunteer at our local collection center and we have a caterer
that recycles her jars with us.  They are even in the original boxes.

If there is anyone in Michigan(central lower or is up in the Cadillac area
occasionally) let me know and I will get some for you.  Our first recycling
Saturday is 4/12 and I am sure there will be some available.
