Mark asks:
There were loads of bees on the inner cover and on the top bars of frames
underneath. My actions did not phase the bees at all! (temp was about 65
deg F) Is this surprising or not? I'm not suggesting anyone move to night
handling but I was surprised that not one bee seemed phased by me popping
off the inner
cover. What's the deal with bees at night?
Bees crawl at night for the most part. You can get plenty of stings at night
but mostly from bees crawling. Bees are clearly easier to handle at night as
far as moving goes.
