I recently acquired a little book (110 pages, not quite 5 x 7 inches)
called "Planning in Plain English: Writing Tips for Urban and Environmental
Planners" by Natalie Macris, published by the Planners Press, American
Planning Association. I highly recommend it for tips on how to write
simply and clearly. You can get a copy from the "APA Store" on APA's web
site at www.planning.org. If someone is so inclined, it shouldn't be too
difficult to put something like this together for archaeological writing.
