Isn't this really all about being consistent in what WE do, and providing a
key so what THEY did can be understood? I grew up on metric, use
engineering, but report it all with notation of what it converts to in
English. If arpents are mentioned in the ancient sources, I give
conversions so people today can grasp it. If the builders uses cubits then
I figure out what the modern measure that I use to record converts to in
cubits. Is that so difficult? (not really)
