On Sunday, I shall be leaving for the Netherlands again to participate in
the Four Days' March in Nijmegen, after which I plan to do some quick sight
seeing in the southwestern part of the country, Zeeland, which figured in
a book I read as a teenager, followed by two days in Amsterdam, where I
have some tickets for the Concertgebouw.
There I shall be hearing the following:
On July 22,
Prima La Musica w/ Dirk Vermeulen conducting and Eliane Rodriguez, pianist:
Haydn's 9th and 99th Symphonies, Schubert's Overture in the Italian Style,
and Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27 in Bb, K. 595, and
On July 23,
The Moscow Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Vladimir Ziva w/ Ilya Grubert,
violinist, playing Brahms' Violin Concerto and Prokoffiev's Romeo and
Juliet Suite No. 1.
If all goes well, I shall be back on July 24.
Don't beat each other up too hard!
