Yes, yes, I agree that Carl Sauer should definitely not be overlooked.
Cultural geography had gone through a long dry spell in the U.S. ; Another
book that is often overlooked but shouldn't be is May Theilgaard Watts'
Reading the Landscape of America. If you've havn't seen it, find a copy.
We need to acknowledge the shoulders on which we stand.
