Even the name was unknown to me until a few weeks ago, when I saw him
mentioned in the liner notes of a CD of remarkable Concertos for Orchestra,
by Hoddinott, Gregson and McCabe.  He was cited as a notable composer
of several Concerti for Orchestra.

Since then, even the letters in my soup seem to be conspiring to spell
out his name.  This morning I ordered a CD with his Concerto for Orchestra
#3, a Sonata de Camera for harpsichord and chamber group, and some choral
music.

Now this news item conveyed by Virginia Knight clues me into why the
stars have been so configured for Goffredo.

Funny how little one knows the music of one's own century.

I'd welcome recommendations of his music from anyone who's familiar.
