Jason,
I have co-authored a report on the archaeology of a 1912 to 1917
construction camp for a Bureau of Reclamation dam in Washington state.
The work was done prior to reconstruction of the Keechelus Dam. I think
there are still some copies of the report available from Reclamation
(contact Mark DeLeone [log in to unmask]). Reclamation also evaluated
the dam for NRHP eligibility.

Subject: Dam Removals and Archaeology
Anybody have any references to dam removal projects and the archaeology
that was done prior to their removal?
I have information from the Neuse River in North Carolina and the bib
for the report entitled:
Phase III archaeological data recovery, Watchman's House and Midden
Site, Cuddebackville Dam Removal, Delaware and Hudson Canal County park,
town of Deerpark, Orange County, New York: 2003
Anything easily accessible to anybody?
