I have never used a Goldblat so I don't know how they compare to
Marshaltowns.  I do prefer the WHS (UK) for use in stony or gravely
soil.  The Marshaltown has too much spring.  The WHS has a much thicker
blade.  A drawback is that they are made of a softer metal and tend to
wear out faster.  On the other hand this also provides one with a number
of small trowels for use in post holes and other small features.
