Some of my most favorite CDs that I've acquired recently are Kuchar
recordings. I am especially impressed by the Creston Symphonies 1-3.
Also good is the Antheil Symphonies 4 & 6. In these recordings, The
Ukraine Symphony sounds world class, and the recorded sound meets or
surpasses my unreasonable standards. So far, my exploration of the
Naxos American Classics Series has provided a huge bang for the buck.
I recommend that everyone rush out and get the Creston Symphonies 1-3 on
Naxos with Kuchar. Everything about this CD is perfect -- the music, the
performance, the sound (and the price).
