Most has already been said already, but I have two suggestions:

1. Try my questionnaire, "Your Tastes in Classical Music" at
http://selectsmart.com/FREE/select.php?client=classicalmusic

2. Listen to Victor de Sabata's "Juventus."  (Everyone else on the list
should do the same, considering its subject.) Then listen to it again
40 years from now!
