Windows 2000 also has cdplayer.exe but it is not the default for playing
music CDs. It will run on Windows XP, but to make it the default, you
must go to MyComputer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types For AudioCD click
advanced then edit: Action should be play and Application should be
C:\WINNT\system32\cdplayer.exe "%1" (if you placed the exe file in
C:\WINNT\system32)

Then open Media player, click options then file types and make sure
Audio CD tracks is not selected.

Repeat for every upgrade of Windows Media player as the MS defaults
will be reinstalled.
