For those interested in Simpson, Hyperion has finally scheduled the
recording of the 11th Symphony to take place early next year. As many
of you are no doubt aware, Ted Perry, the driving force behind Hyperion
Records, died earlier this year. Proceeds from Hyperion's memorial concert
for Ted Perry will go towards the funding of the recording. The memorial
concert will take place on 17th July 2003 at 7:30 in Wigmore Hall, artists
include: Angela Hewitt, The King's Consort, Robert King, Robin Blaze,
Stephen Hough, Leslie Howard, Roger Vignoles, and The Raphael Ensemble.
