Well, then the both of you need to read DEATH BY THEORY: A TALE OF MYSTERY
AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL THEORY by our own Adrian Praetzellis (AltaMira Press,
2000). http://www.altamirapress.com

I am not one for theory either, but this book made it so easy to
understand, even the post-modernists' stuff!
