Ned:

I take it you are one Edward F. Heite? If so, I just want to share my
adpreciation and admiration for all the work you did over the years that
you were down here in Virginia! When I was at the State library I found
your work everywhere, and now that I am with the Chesterfield Historical
Society (Ass. Dir.) I am seeing even more of your stuff. You did some
incredible things and they sure had some serious impact on how things came
to be done in the years after you left. I take it there were many a rough
bump along the way (as is typical Virginia / Richmond fashion) but your
work has stood the test of time and you can count me among the many that do
very much appreciate it. I just wish I was around this town when you and
the other consumate researchers were so active.
