Since we refer to one of the holds as a "C" hold, and another as a "U" hold,
then why not this one as a "V" hold? We are keeping to the alphabet, and it
describes what the hands/fingers are doing.
As to what to term a normal looking nipple when it comes out of the baby's
mouth, how about -- looks like a zucchini? No -- I'm kidding -- honest! (I
was thinking of "not squashed" and zucchini just popped onto the computer --
I don't have a clue as to where it came from).
How I wish that the mothers I see had nipples shaped like cigars after they
come out of the mouth. Most of them are so short & flat that at best, they
look like a little fabric filled button.
