I have made solar ovens for cooking purposes (and of
course the same principles can be used in a solar wax melter)
and they work very well. They always recommend that you
either paint the interior or cover it with with some highly
reflective material so the radiation will be reflected back
into what you are trying to cook or heat. The pot you put
in the oven could be painted black, but the inside walls of
the oven should not be. They should be relective (aluminum
foil is usually recommended because it is inexpensive).
Doing an Internet search on solar cooking or solar ovens
would provide lots of useful and good information that
could be applied to solar wax melters.
