Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt I suspect, who was the founding conductor of
the NDRSO.

The EMI studio version is outstanding, full of fire and is (or used to be)
c/w one of the 2 or 3 greatest Sibelius Concertos I've evcer heard. Mind
you that Brahms is surely Top Ten.
