I've always liked the Reformation Symphony-a journey from darkness to
light.  Also, the 2nd theme of the first movement re-appears briefly in
the 3 rd movement does suggest some quasi-programmatic content which
makes me curious.

I have heard the Alpensinfonie in concert, and I think it is an interesting
musical "update" of Liszt's Berg-Sinfonie (his first symphonic poem).
