Dave wondered:
>(Am I the only one with a rather large collection who can remember when
>and where they bought just about everything?)
If Dave describes his collection as "rather large", then I guess mine's
somewhere between modest and moderate, but I don't plan to come up with
an index for collection sizes. Perhaps we could measure it, where
appropriate, in term's of the level of incredulity/resignation exhibited
by your wife/husband/partner when you get caught smuggling in that little
cache of CDs you just couldn't resist. People who take more than customary
interest in the arrival of mail, parcel deliveries and credit card
statements are, of course, terminally suspect.
Be all that as it may, I must admit not only to being afflicted with the
same ability to remember where and when I bought most of my collection, but
to recording this information in my database. Confession may be good for
the soul, but I'll measure its health in terms of the amount of derision I
receive. So come on you other listers who retain what is really not very
useful knowledge, repent!!
