For me, the Davis recordings of Haydn's symphonies are his best achievements
on disc in comparison to other recordings.  I find his pacing and accenting
at the highest level, and he's the only one who makes me feel that "The
Bear" is a masterpiece.  Of course, his Mozart and Berlioz recordings
are also special.
