An item worth considering .. there's a sever draw back associated with total metrification.

The metric pressure unit, for instance, is the Pascal .. OK! How do you use it? ... You convert!

The English pressure unit is the psi, {# / sq in} being the equation for determining pressure or
stress from area and force. Similarly fuel economy {I.e., miles per gallon} is the equation
MI/gal used to determine it.

Work is {force x distance} = energy = force x height  = 1/2 v^2 x {force/gravity}, etc.

The point being that the basis of everything, Newtonian, is force.

This relationship is lost in the metric system.
