This is probably the book that you are thinking about. It is the most complete bibliography available:

Bell, Edward L.
1994 Vestiges of Mortality and Remembrance: A Bibliography on the Historical Archaeology of Cemeteries. Scarecrow Press, Metuchen, New Jersey.

Subject: mortuary bib inquiry; glass beads and funerary garb

Hello all:

About two years ago there was a brief mention of a
mortuary practices bibliography on HISTARCH, which I
promptly downloaded and have subsequently misplaced.
Any help in tracking down this reference would be
greatly appreciated.

I'm also looking at the use of colored glass beads as
a component of subadult funerary clothing during the
19th century. Any interesting accounts out there in
HISTARCH land?

Thanks,

Dane Magoon
