A lot of classical music lovers have ran into your problem; it seems
that a lot of collector\s software is around, but most of it is either
not suited for classical music or involves a lot of typing.

Finally I got so fed up with that, I decided to write a program myself
over the last year. It is simply called CCC ("classical cd collection").
It started as a microsoft access database but has developed a lot since
then. Because my program goes with a very very large database of
musicians, composers and compositions, it does not require a lot of
typing yourself; moreover it allows you to catalogue very precisely what
you have: works, performers, recording data, cd slip case can be scanned,
etc.

Actually I am trading this commercially since some time now against a
very fair price, so I don't know if Dave would allow me to elaborate.
People can write to me in private if they want more information.

regards, Jos
