I guess I understand your perspective...but you mention that you benefited
from public radio. That is where many go their first introduction to
Tubin, or whatever...
Another point for me is that..."the money has dried up." From my
perspective, the budgets got too big. It is fund raising time for
NPR...our station is telling us that it costs them $1,000 a day to carry
the morning news...or #360,000 a year. Amazing to me. That is, I believe,
more than half of the entire budget for our local listener supported
classical station here in Austin.
