I just read a brief article about the Blue Orchard Bee (Osmia lignaria) in the magazine American Fruit Grower.  It apparently is a very efficient pollinator native to North America.  Anyone know anything about this bee? I assume that since they are solitary they don't produce a lot (or any) honey?
