Today is the deadline for filing reply comments on the proposed Programmatic
Agreement for FCC actions (tower building).
Comments filed by industry, preservation interests, and Native Americans may
be viewed at the FCC Web site by following these steps:
1. Point your Web browser to this URL: <www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs/> and select
"Search for Filed Comments" under the Main Menu to the left of the window;
2. In Section no. 1 (Proceeding), enter "03-128" (without quotation marks);
3. A screen (multiple screens of 10 entries) with comments filed to date
will appear. All of the comments are in Adobe PDF format. For best results
(in Windows), right click on the "Comment" URL and save the file to your
local computer and open it in Adobe.
Again, today is the comment filing deadline (midnight) for electronic
submissions. The process is simple and fully explained at the FCC Web site:
<www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs/ecfsmanual.html>
Besides SHPOs, ACRA, Native Americans, and the National Trust for Historic
Preservation, there have been few comments from historic preservation
interests. It would be most unfortunate if the non-government folks out
there ceded their say in this important matter to an industry trade group
such as ACRA.
