Hi George,

Yes - that's one of the ways Bede spelled it. According to Ekwall, it's
been recorded as 'Eborakon' (with an acute acent over the first 'o'),
'Eboracum', 'Eburacum', 'Eoforwicceasster', 'Eferwic', 'Euruic',
'Euerwik', 'Eoverwik', '3eorc' (that 3 is a letter we don't use any
more), '3ork' and 'York'.

May I wish your city, and all associated with it a belated happy
birthday for Feb. 2nd?

Groetjes!
