A correction to my earlier message.  While many archaeologist and historians do not understand the technology of iron making and therefor make some very fundamental errors both in their writing and the interpretation of what they excavated, Ned Heite is not one of them.  Ned is one of the few who took the time to understand the technology prior to digging holes.  If you are going to work on an industrial site, you have got to take the time to understand the industrial process.
