Thanks all for the help.
Gordon, nothing artifactual was collected at the dredge site. It was a
shell bank off of Pensecola, Florida.
The imprint you see seems not to be post-depositional scratching. It is a
line with three cross-hatching running perpandicular. The imprint is
about 50 mm long.
